I have them on my car. They do the job. Sure they're cheap, but keep in mind you'll need a re-tune.

The economy ones will be fine for you. The billet ones have a little smidge wider of an opening, that the difference between them. Unless you are talking about the one's with the N2O bosses in them.

From the responses here it seems the Economy Plates are a better pick than the larger Billet Plates. Is this correct? Does the Economy Plates retain low end torque better for a N/A setup?

For all arguements, the economy and the billets are the same hp/torque number-wise.

I have a really dumb question. If they are designed for performance and have the same results, why make two different parts?

The billet plates are better matched to the stock heads, but the difference it makes in performance is minimal. They do have NO2 bosses in them that can be drilled out for port NO2 injection.

aren't the economy plates just the stockers with the valves removed. why can't you just remove everything or does it require special tools or something.

There are no holes inside the ports for the rod that the butterfly valves mount.

Too bad the billets were never $70. I'd be in heaven.

there is/are no piont in the billet ones... If anything the slightly larger holes would cause turbulance because of going to smaller, larger(cmcv), smaller runners.

Yeah but why go billet? they aren't seen, no extra power, and if anything causes turbulence.
