Woke up to this today. Had the charger on overnight and somehow over the course of hours it managed to slip off and left some nice scuffs on the fender.

Won't let it ruin my weekend since I'm hoping I can get a shop to buff it out for me for cheap.

Hence the reason I put mine on a stool so if it does "fall" it will fall to the ground an not on my paint

Ouch. Sorry to see that. It does look like you could buff it out fairly easily though. I'd give it a shot before hiring someone.

Yeah it's the front fender. I sat there and watched that battery charger for about 2-3 minutes before I left the garage. It didn't budge a millimeter. Come out this morning and its on the floor and I have scuffs. lol wtf. Cold slippery plastic on cold slippery metal - it just decided to slowly slip off.

I know a guy who is good at paint work and I'll see if he can do it on the cheap. If not at most it would probably be a 1/2 hour labor at a shop. I'm not all bent out of shape though it did piss me off when I saw that.

Amen, like the time I kept raising my car on my lift and ran the open hood into the ceiling. Just a minor scuff mark from the drywall on the nose of the hood but definitely a "Homer" moment.

Excuse the ignorance but what's the difference between a bumper and a fender? I thought a front fender is your front bumper?

You guys think meguiar's scratch x 2.0 might take care of this by itself? Anyone every try that stuff?

I've used it on my truck several times, haven't had to use it on my car yet. Good stuff.

Dude it worked! Took about 2 minutes of working that over with the scratch x and it is barely noticeable now. And there isn't even a dull finish left over it's still looking shiny.

$12 well spent.

What I like about the Scratch X is that it is fine enough to not leave a dull hazy finish in most cases. Glad it worked for you, now put some wax on that spot!

If something you use by hand causes it to have a dull, hazy finish you've got a problem. LOL

I tried some of the previous scratch x in the past and it did leave a dull finish behind. I think I overdid it though so that may have been an operator error that time.

This time I checked youtube first and watched someone else apply it so I couldn't manage to screw it up. When I get an after photo I'll post it up.
