For all the Michigan people, I just picked up a whipple stage 2 for my 2014 Mustang on christmas
Was going to install it myself but then others convinced me that I should also do the oil pump gears, and well.... that looks a bit too much for my skill level.
So what shops around can do the install? Here is what I found myself
Livernois - all the old timers in my area recommend, they are well known in Detroit but quoted $7k for the INSTALL!! And no custom tune (thats which the standard whipple tune, which I don't mind but dang twice the price of anyone else just for labor)
Watson Racing - Same job quoted only $4000 (estimate because they charge hourly and not per job, but still its half price about). I'm getting mixed reviewed from locals, tho. Maybe because they only work on Fords and most of my crew are all old time chevy race fans lol. Also they seem to be backed up building Dark Horse R for Ford directly so might take awhile before they get an opening.
Then of course there is Brenspeed also around $4000 but its about 3.5 hour drive to Indiana, so I would neeed to get a hotel room and be stuck in a room for 3 days before shes done.
So basically I have Livernois which is recommended but twice the price, a long drive (bren), or someone close and cheap but I don't really know their quality level (watson)...
Help me out here guys!
