Hey guys,

I searched around a bit but don't see an answer out there. I was wondering what superchargers will bolt to a Roush TVS manifold (excluding the 2.3L TVS). Is there a possibility to upgrade without purchasing a complete kit? I am just looking down the road for possibilities.

Talk to BJ or Justin at VMP. They specialize in the Roush/TVS setups and Justin has been an industry leader in modifying the Roush designs to move more air and make more power. Tell them what you have and what you've done so far and they can run down your various options.

Tell them Skwerl sent ya. ;)

I do work with those guys, and they are awesome when it comes to the TVS for sure, and tuning in general. I am more asking about life after the TVS is maxed out. I am assuming it would be starting over, but if I could bolt on an upgrade and shoot for 20+ PSI that would definitely be cheaper.

Are you over spinning it with an oversize crank pulley? Do you have the biggest possible intake and throttle body?

I haven't taken it all the way yet. I am at 69mm and stock lower. If I make a change and get the 15% lower I will need to invest in the 8 rib conversion. This is all the detail I am weighing right now.

That's why I suggested VMP. They know all the options better than just about anybody. How are your IAT's? Do you need cooling mods to take it higher? How about injectors? Fuel pump? Have you replaced your stock exhaust with headers and deleted the cats?

For sure. I have Long tubes, catless X, return E85 fuel system, over axle pipes from Borla, ID1000 (will run out of injector next probaby), Revan dual fan HE, and VMP elbow, and VMP twin jet TB. The only room I have left for improvement is machining blower snout for the 63mm pulley, installing the 15% overdrive with 8-rib FEAD, possibly upgrading the IC pump to the lingenfelter, and possily the ford monobrow throttle body. So the combo is almost maxed out without spending a good bit more money. That's the crossroads i will be approaching for next winter. I could upgrade to the VMP stage 2, which would be a light gain for the associated cost. I am looking for the S197forum member who has been there and done that, and had some experience to share, hopefully.

Sounds like you're about there. What kind of numbers are you putting down?

I got the combo together and had a local tuner work on it. It was 635 on a mustang dyno, which seemed low even for a MD250. I am haing Ken Bjonnes take a shot at this this week, to see if we can tell where I am losing power (belt slip or whatnot).
