Just ordered my suspension this weekend.. Ordered from hypermotiveperformance.com & Jason def. helped me out with everything I needed, very knowledgable guy.

Haven't really introduced myself on here but I drive a Sterling Gray 2013 GT MT-82 Premium Track Pack w/ Recaro's. Rides great, but definitely had some room for improvement in the handling department. The car is mainly a DD street car & weekend canyon cruiser that I enjoy driving hard around corners.

Can't wait for everything to arrive.. I'll post up some pics.

On Order:

- Hotchkis Lower Springs
- Steeda HD Strut Mounts
- WhiteLine Adj. Rear LCA's
- WhiteLine Panhard Brace
- WhiteLine Adj. Panhard Bar
- Koni Yellow Adj. Shocks/Struts (2011-2014)

your gonna LOVE the koni's. i woulda never thought a strut and shock would be that adjustable. even with lowering springs i can make it ride better than it did from the factory or make it were you feel every bump.

i took the wife for a ride with them adjusted all the way soft and she was impressed, then when she was busy and i knew she was gonna drive the car i put them all the way to firm. she got down the road and called and said somethings wrong with the car.lol

let me know your opinion of the whiteline LCA's. i just ordered their swaybars and was looking for which LCA's to go with, i was leaning toward BMR.

Yea I'm pretty sure I will like the ride of the Konis from everything that I've researched about them.

As for WhiteLine, I've never owned anything from them but I've always heard great things about them.. When I think of BMR I think about drag racing parts although I'm sure they're great as well.

Little teaser of everything when it arrived..

So I don't really wanna take apart my stock front struts to reuse what is necessary to mate the Konis + Hotchis sprints + Steeda HD mounts...

I'm thinking of just talking to Ford parts department and ordering the pieces that are missing.. Can anyone help me out with what I will need? I think all that I will need is the front top rubber spring perch, strut dust cover, and front strut bump stops... can anyone confirm this?

The dust covers are not available from Ford separately, they only sell them with new struts ... I got "Gabriel"-brand dust boots at Autozone for $11.99 each, part # 143059

The bump stops can be bought as the FRPP part, # M-5570-A, I got them from cjponyparts.com for $26.99 shipped, best price I could find on them.

The silicone "sleeves" that go at the bottom of the springs can be bought from Ford, they list at about $9 each, part # 6R3Z-5L302-A ... about $6.04 each from Tousley Ford, but plus shipping. I got them for $8.24 each from the local dealer, ordered next-day delivery from their local warehouse, and no sales tax since I bought them in NH :)

Top rubber spring perch came with my new GT500 strut mounts ... what mounts are you gonna be using?

Thanks for chiming in. I saw your thread on the other forum. I'm going to buy everything that you recommend. Everything you recommended sounds pretty cheap anyway.

The reason I need the top rubber spring perch is because I'm going to be using the Steeda HD strut mounts so they're not included. I really don't want to have to buy a set of gt500 mounts just to get that rubber piece, but if I have to it will.

Anyone know if I can just buy that top spring perch separately or have the part #? I might have to check with a dealership parts dept. I have the 2011-2014 set of Konis so the GT500 mounts won't work with those, but I assumed the rubber spring perches should, can anyone confirm?

Here's a pics of the Steed HD strut mounts that I'm using, they are for 2011-2014 struts.. Anyone know where to find the rubber spring perches that are needed? I don't want to reuse my OEM ones. Thanks.

You're welcome!

I almost got to putting things together today, then I realized that I want to install the new FRPP bumpstops on the struts BEFORE I put them together, and they're not here yet ... lol

Hahaa good thing you cause that error early. Otherwise you'd be stuck compressing and taking everything back apart. Ordering all the stuff you recommended today.

Here's a shot of the WhiteLine Adj. Panhard Bar, Panhard Brace, & Adj. LCAs. All parts look high quality and can't wait to get them on the car.

Hoping to get everything installed this weekend.. Havent had a chance to yet and waiting on some other minor parts to arrive.

So far just from looking at all the WhiteLine parts I ordered they look beefy and high quality.. I'll probably keep them in mind for when I do sway. Check the pics.

Well, if the Steeda mounts are supposed to use the stock 11-14 rubber perches from the original mounts, you can buy regular GT mounts for $30 each from Tousley and transfer them over, you probably don't NEED gt500 mounts just to steal their rubbers ... lol

See here: http://www.tousleyfordparts.com/par...leid=1501232&diagram=JC10391&diagramCallOut=6

.

Just got item #6 from the picture from Tousley Ford yesterday.. looks like it was the exact part that I needed..

Just waiting on the bump stops and spring sleeves to arrive, should be here Thursday.

That's awesome!
I got my new FRPP bumpstops and everything else, waiting for me to put it all together, then install it.
I'll have the time for that soon, since I'm moving back into my own place probably tomorrow night, leaving the ex-GF's apartment for once and for all, never to return. Lol

Now just hoping for a warm day SOON !!!

Edit: Looks like Thursday will be that day. The forecast is 55 degrees and sunny. On Friday I'm getting my cable/TV/internet service installed, which means Thursday I wouldn't have that stuff working yet, which means might as well spend the day outside, working on the car :D

Installed everything this weekend. A lot more work than I expected but I got it done. Pretty happy with how everything turned out, just gotta trim my bump stops tonight and should be all good. Pretty happy with the height, but it should settle just a bit more.

Also found that I needed to ream out the hole in the Koni strut to fit the front away bar end link, not sure why it didn't fit, maybe the track pack end links are thicker, but it all worker out.

Koni 'Yellow' sports, Hotchkis springs, Steeda HD strut mounts, Gabriel dust covers, Ford Racing bump stops:

Stock measurement from ground to fender was 28 3/4" front & 29 1/2" rear ... Now I'm sitting at around 27 3/4" all the way around. I will take better pics once everything is settled and alignment is dialed in.
