Suspension Ideas

I am looking for some ideas for the suspension for use at the track. My car is a DD but I would like to get it into the 10's. I still have the stock struts and shocks. I have added LCA's and UCA. Tubular K member and A arms. FRRP springs. I was thinking of going with the QA1 adj front struts and coilovers. The Steeda extreme anti roll bar, with the QA1 adj rear shocks and Eibach drag launch springs.
I have seen posted on here that some use the cobra jet springs. How are they? Also do you think it will be better to go coil over all the way around? Appreciate all ideas.

I have a set of MT ET streets to run at the track. just figuring I may need some help in the shock/strut/spring combination dept.

yeah before I built the motor. was at 450 rwhp. running high 11's. 60 ft at 1.61. Now I am at 580/460 TQ. Havent run it yet with new setup. But I suspect it will need some improvements

i hear the qa1's are real good. cobra jet springs, bigs/skinnies, and maybe a anti roll bar. is the car auto or manual?

What size/style Et Streets?

Everything you listed should work well. I have the Cobra jet springs on my car and they are quite soft in the back so a good set of stiff rear shocks is a must. I am going with the QA1s as well. Coil overs are nice if you make enough passes to dial everything in, if you are a casual racer there is not going to be a huge benefit IMHO.

26x10x17 I believe. I am still up in the air between the QA1's and the Tokico D Spec adjustables. Thanks for the replies

I would reccomend the QA1s. I have both on 2 different cars and the QA1 is overall a little stiffer which you will need with bias ply tires and the CJ drag springs if you go that route.

Ive done business with your Company before. Got some really good customer service! In fact I have your site bookmarked and I always check there first when looking for stuff. But you guys raised your prices on the QA1 strut and shock kit....LOL.

Seriously though, If I go with the QA1 struts do I have to use their coil over springs with it? If so Im guessing that the spring rate I need will be based on how the car scales and percentage of weight from Front to back? Do you guys sell the springs, or did I just miss them on your site?

One more thing. Will the cobra jet springs work with the QA1 front struts???

some off the fast cars on here are cutting 1.4-.5 60's with coilovers in the rear.

The QA1 front struts are designed to work with coil overs but you do not have to use them. I have QA1 front and rears on my other car with conventional coil springs. YEs you can use the CJ springs with the QA1 parts.

Well there are sway bars and then there are anti-roll bars. If you are not going all out and looking at an anti-roll bar I would just stick with the stock rear sway bar. The replacement style rear sway bars on the market are not going to help much with the chassis twist. I am adding the BMR Xtreme bar to my car over the winter so I can give you more feedback once I get it on the car but I have installed a few and they work well.
