Since I'm going to be racing and modding this car pretty heavy, I think it will be easiest for me to put all my info in one thread.

Car is a 2014 5.0 M6 Base W/ Brembo's
I've got a nice heavy list of mods coming that i'll post in here when they start coming in next week. Overall goal with this car is to have a competitive road course and autox car that can still be driven on the street and travel when ever i want. This will be a very similar build to Mark C's(csamsh) car.

Today was my first autocross event of the year and i figured it would be a perfect time to show off my new gopro lol. I ran with the PCA group at Pennington Field in Bedford. I took the fastest time of the day for my class. I was running against 2 mustangs and 1 c5 vette. Conditions were horrible since the weather dropped down to 30 degrees and it started raining. This was the fastest run, number 6 of 7.

Hey, not bad for a first time, lots of power, and rain! :) One thing I observed, and this is a huge time saver:

Back side cones in a transition, any transition!

What do I mean? When you approach a slalom (your stereotypical transition), backsiding is best explained by starting your turn before you reach each cone in the slalom. It works because there is a delay between your steering input and the car generating the forces that move the car in the direction of the turn. By turning earlier, the weight of the car will actually carry you around the cone. When you do this right, you save LOTS of time because you'll be much closer to the cones.

Here is a visual representation of what I'm talking about:

Watch during the slalom elements when I start the turn. First slalom is about the 23 second mark.

You can also do that on other cones too, it doesn't have to be in a slalom, it can be at the apex cone of a sweeper, in a Chicago Box, etc and that can be seen throughout that video too.

My next event is this Sunday with Equipe Rapide.

Be warned! It's an uncontrollable bug! Most people would buy a blower with what I just dropped on suspension lol. I started with a $2k budget which included all my looks done too lol. Now I'm at $6,800 and it's all under the hood and car... and no blower lol. Now I can't wait to get some seats and different wheels and tires.

Yes it is VERY addicting! I am afraid to see how much I have spent over the last 2 years just on suspension alone!

@Jucostud

Are you having someone install:

boss intake manifold
frpp coyote exhaust cams(mini cobra jet cams)
Boss tensioners
boss valve springs
boss intake tube

If so, who? Are you going to have True Street in McKinney tune it for you?

Also, are you going to port your heads?
