I never had a bar in the car. I got away with breaking the rules at the track because I know the owners. I was going to buy a bolt in bar but decided to build my own weld in cage.

Well, the car keeps getting lighter. I haven't weighed any of the parts, but the car is sitting 1.25" higher. Other than removing the front door panels, I think I'm done with taking parts off. I am going to remove the stock fuel tank today and cut out the spare tire well in preparation for the fuel cell.

So far, that's the plan. I want to be able to use my GT500 fuel system and there are no fuel cell options for that.

So let me ask some questions since i dont know the answers or rules, lol. For what your planning to do does it have to have foam inside? Does it have to be vented to the exterior of the car? This might be way out there but any plans to insulate the exterior of the fuel cell? Colder fuel would mean better atomization right?

The cell does not have to have foam in it and I could use the stock tank if I wanted. However, it is in my way for the exhaust system I am going to build.

Test fitted the seats today and installed the 1/4 windows. Monday, I will start to bend the cage, build the fuel tank and exhaust.
