Its coming from under car on decel and can feel it on slow cruising, feels like its right under me or slightly forward of me in the drivers seat, happens about every 1/2 second. Pound your fist on something hard every 1/2 second on a table and thats what I feel on decel and slow cruising around. Harder/louder/more noticeable on decel. OEM drive shaft or ??? Cars an 2006 automatic.

I know it feels like its under you but it could be your rear.

I was getting a big clunk and I finally found it after much searching..... one of my exhaust pipes was hitting the corner of the trunk. Inside the car it sounded like it was coming from somewhere else until I dropped the rear seat.

I'd get under it first and check all the suspension bushings and DS joint.

its definitely speed related, speeds up slows down while moving, if car is idle no noise. floor feel, like when drive shaft is rotating. feels center of car, almost right underneath me. I had mainseal replaced in june and cars only been driven a few times since then, I just got done installing a supercharger and noticed this noise while driving around datalogging. have 373 in rear and its always been noisy since the install of those (whine).

OK, found a quiet street to drive up and down on, with the windows down it sounds like it is coming from the drivers front wheel, it def. increases with speed. I lifted the front end when I got home and hand spun the front tires, nothing. I raised the rear, put it on stands, turned off traction control, and put car in gear to a speed of about 45, nothing. quiet. Its only when the car is on the ground and moving. Now what I did find out is that when I apply the brakes the noise stops, so Im taking a wild guess at warped front rotors.... BUT when I spin the front wheels they spin freely, if they were warped wouldnt they bind in certain spots? Im stumped.

NO I just spun the wheel, realized as I was typing above post that I should have rocked wheels back and forth from the top and bottom to check for play. Im doing that tomorrow, too late in the PM now.

also check the strut mounts mine went bad took it off and bearings went flying, common problem on these. replaced with gt500 mounts, no noise. I know it sounds rotational but if it does it worse at low speeds i'd bet that was it. mine were horrible in parking lots and any speed under 30 mph really. Also check sway bar end links and bushings.

AND THE WINNER IS:

4 loose lugs nuts on drivers front, only tight lug nut was the lock nut. Be the last time I EVER leave the car out overnight (Monday). Seems I had a thief on my property one night. Checked all other 3 wheels and they were fine. Once I tightened all 4 I went for a drive and all is quiet. Now the scary part is that for the last 3 nights after work Ive been working with LITO on the tune and doing 2-3 WOT and datalogging with the new Whipple install.

Glad you fixed it! Tracking a noise can be un-nerving to say the least!!!

Now get a 9mm and take care of the "problem"

wow, at least it was an easy fix

I'd suggest pulling the wheel off and checking the studs for damage.
