Any updates on what you did with the steering wheel panels? Can you not wrap them as well? I've ordered the fabric off ebay so planning to attempt myself pretty soon. Really nice work...

How do you apply the vinyl to the interior parts? It has adhesive backing, but do you heat it up as you apply it or what?

Not yet, I am on vacation right now.

You don't have to heat it, its adhesive backed. This project isn't for those with no vinyl experience unless you order extra and are willing to learn along the way.

Got my wrap today in the mail. Can't way to start on it and try it out. I have no vinyl experience, so I hope I can make it as nice as yours turned out. Any tips or tricks other than cutting out a template from construction paper ?

I will probably end up Plastidipping the steering wheel and shifter trim.

I may try using spray tint on the wheel trim to create a black chrome effect but I'm not sure that would work. I also don't want too many finishes on the interior

Well got all my panels out and the vinyl is here. Now I just need to get to it! Looks easier than it is once you start looking at what you have to do.

Hope mine shows up within a few more days.

Can you not wrap the steering wheel trim in the same vinyl?

You can if you want to. I just wanted to keep it on the dash.

Here is the wheel trim Plastidipped. I'm happy with the result.

Now on to the shifter...can't seem to find a base model black shifter anywhere. Don't really want to Plastidip it because of durability.

Looks damn good...wrapping as we type. Much patience is needed...passenger airbag a breeze but a/c panels will definitely test your nerves.

That's the wife helping out...

How funny, was going to recruit the wife to help also. Took off all the pieces off the car and took them home from the shop where the car is so she could help.

How do you wrap the corners? Heat or slits with a knife? Any tips so far??

We have found stretching works well. Haven't used heat yet...leave a little excess to fold over the sides. Will continue tonight after work to do trim around cluster and center a/c panel.

Got alot of my panels done today. All I have left is the the gauge panel and too paint the vents.

Will post up some pictures when I am done. Alot easier than I thought it would be, just concerned at how well it will hold up in the heat here.

Been 100+ here, car has been outside and no problems.

Well, there is one problem. As you probably noticed this vinyl smells like absolute shit. The smell hasn't quite dissipated yet.
