KcMstang,

How did you get the trim pieces off of the steering wheel? It kind of looks like they might pop off maybe?

Flat head screw driver underneath the end of each trim piece and they should pop right up...

I'm thinking about plasti dipping the vent pods. Or atleast the chrome trim on it and louvers. How do you get those out? And does the steering wheel trim simply pop back in?

Do you pull out on the louver part?

The trim ring, louver and the cup with all come out together. Then you can pop off the the trim ring and the louvers have tabs on both side of the cup that will release and allow it to come out. You can also take the louver apart if you want, I just painted my together, minus the tabs on both sides.

Got my all finshed tonight! Going to install it all back in the car tomorrow and will take some pictures and post them up and see what you guys think. The drivers side panel with the gauges took awhile. Turned out okay to fair I think , will see what you guys think. I will critique my work more as I can see the flaws. Used Plasti Dip to black out the chrome and had a hell of a time cutting the carbon fiber close and not peeling the paint. Would have been alittle smarter to use regular paint with it having no chance of it coming off so easy.

Will post up some pictures tomorrow evening.

While we're waiting, here is something I would do differently if I were to do the project again:

I wouldn't waste all the time masking off the vent pods before painting them. The reason is, around the edge of the vent pods, the vinyl shrunk a bit after being in the heat, exposing a bit of silver underneath. That required me to go back with black paint and touch those areas up. If I would have just painted the whole edge instead of masking, that wouldn't have been necessary.

Looks good ! ^^^^^^^^^

I also did my wheel with the wrap along with the dash. Haven't installed the wheel pieces yet thought. Was wondering how it was going to look. Looks good!
