305/30ZR19 rear?

Not sure on what to do with the front. A couple of the close options I found are 265/35ZR19 and 255/35/R19. Here's the list of tire sizes on the continental DW: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Continental&tireModel=ExtremeContact+DW#

I'm grabbing the continental DW tires again since I get a big discount (because I work at continental lol) and the 285 seemed to hook well for the most part on my previous M90 car.

Going with the 305/30/19 will take me down from a 27.3in tire to a 26.2, making my effective gear ratio 3.89. Is that a bad idea for the manual trans? That's just the widest tire I can get in the DW is why I'm choosing that size. Wondering how this would effect 1/4 mile times stock, and also hoping this will be a meaty enough tire to hold 600rwhp through a twin turbo setup without completely annihilating the tires every time I punch it.
I don't really want to drop the high $ on a drag radial and have problems in the rain since it will still be my DD.

Also, is 19x10 wheels in both front and back a bad idea?

Any input on what I should do here would be great. I've been back and forth between the black AMR wheels and the black GT500 wheels from americanmuscle.com. They have had a pretty good deal on the GT500 wheels for a while now so that may be the better choice, not sure. The AMR was winning because of the excess clutter around the lugnuts on the GT500 wheels, but it does look pretty dang good when you actually click on customer photos and not just look at the wheel alone lol. Wish I could see it on a GHIG 13-14 before I bought it

Thanks as always for any input.

A 305/30-19 needs at least a 10.5" wide wheel, and in most cases either 11" or 11.5" would be preferable.

I have my doubts that any true street tire will be able to keep you out of wheelspin with the sort of torque that your TT should be making.

This.

A wide tire on too narrow of a wheel will hurt your traction more than help it. I was putting 620 to the ground (even more before lowering the boost 3 lbs) on stock 285 Boss Pirellis and for DD duty it did fine, as long as I respected the car. If you're going to be heavy on the throttle, get some drag radials or stay n/a.

My cousins running 305 wide et street II on his 19x10 AMR wheels with no issues, the tire is recommended at x10 minimum. I don't even know where I can get 10.5 wheels =P

Seems either that drag radials follow their own guidelines, or Mickey T published an exception to the T&RA wheel width guidelines (this is permissible, but most tire mfrs rarely do so).

My 285/35-18's for track day use are about 26" tall. They look fine to me . . . because there is a sound reason that they look that way.

An appearance-oriented individual who expects tire and wheel combinations to generally follow a more conventional DD/ponycar/musclecar look would probably not like them at all.

600rwhp + DR + manual = kaboom (maybe not right away...but just wait)

I'd put a 285/35/19 on the 19x10. It will fit up front with some tweaking.

Kaboom as in block, trans, rear, what? I've seen plenty of people running 600rwhp stock block

What's the first to go? I was under the impression the coyote responds well at 600rwhp. What would need upgraded, I figured throw a clutch in it and it would be fine, I don't have the torsen differential either.

I'm currently running 305/30/19's on the rear of mine with a 10" wide wheel, MPSS tires. I love how wide they are but I hate how short the sidewall is. It does look a little goofy.

I will soon be switching to a 285/35/19 michelin pilot as3. These tires are about an inch taller and I think they will look a lot better.

I don't get much wheel spin with my 305's but I am also NA. Btw michelin is now making the MPSS in 305/35/19, they were not when I bought mine.

Depends. People have had clutches go out launching on the street with e/t street 2s, twisted axles launching on the street with stock tires at stock power levels, and grenaded transmissions on drag tires at the strip. I'm sure any and all combinations of the variables I have mentioned have happened.
