I have a 2007 mustang gt FBO, cammed, manual car with strange double adjustable strut, qa1 single adjustable shocks, bmr upper and lower control arms. I had m/t 28x11.5x15 et street r's but thinking about going to a Hoosier slick 26x10.5 or 28x10.5? Car also has 150 shot, fully built rear end with spool and 4.30 gears mainly my strip car but I do occasionally drive it on the street.

It will depend whether the car still hooks with a 26" tire and whether you are needing to go over 6500rpms to wring that last little bit out of the combo. Although the width isn't a big difference, the size of the contact patch between a 28" and a 26" tire is fairly significant.

The 26" tire looks a bit small on these cars but that is more of a form vs function problem.

Thanks. I launch at 3500 with the 150 shot and was spinning with the 28x11.5 m/t bias ply et street r so I better stick with the 28.
