A 335 will fit the rear, already been done. Check out dimoras.... 'operation steamroller'.

I have a 305-35-19 on 19 x 10 rims on the rear...and 285-40-18 on 18x10's for the fronts.

B4 that I had a 285-40-18 rear..and a 275-40-18 front.

B4 that it was a 275-40-18 rear and 255-45-18 front.

If I was starting from scratch, I would use either 275-40-18 on all 4 x corners.... or 285-40-18's on all 4 x corners. Called a 'square setup'.... then u can rotate.

Is your definition of biggest wheel the biggest diameter, the widest wheel, or both?

Without having to mess with camber, have different offsets front and rear, or have to mess with spacers, a 20x10 +40 fits all 4 corners. You could go all the way up to a 22" wheel but then you have very little sidewall left. Others use an 11" wide up front and a 12" out back but those fitments usually require modifications to work.

I'm with Pentalab on the square setup so you can rotate tires. I currently have 20" wheels with 275/35/20 on all 4 corners and I've been very happy with that. If you want drag radials on the rear I run Mickey Thompson ET Streets 305/45/18 on 18x10 Roush wheels with no issue.

285/35/18 on all 4 is a great setup for a car that does street/track days. That is the recommended setup by Kenny Brown Performance. You can go bigger on the front but then you will need to add spacers. Guess it also depends on how you plan on using it, just street, street/track, street/drag?

He has a 2005 4.0L V6..which I think is 225 hp at the crank.
So it may well be just for looks.
How deep are your pockets ?

Myself, I swap to the oem narrower wheels and rain tires at the end of this month. The wide stuff goes back on at the end of april. I don't want chrome rims on in the off season.

Spent my wheel and tires budget on wheels lol. I’ll be running Shelby super snake 20x9.5 40mm offset on the front and 20x11 50mm on the rear here before too long. Will probably run 255 on the front and 295 or 305 on the rear on my 07.

Wouldn't larger diameter tires be better for rain as more tread on ground = more traction on all terrain?

more dependent on tread design in the evacuation of water and tread width.

Not really. Since rain decreases the amount of friction between the tire and the surface and a wider or taller tire spreads the weight of the vehicle out over a larger area-you are decreasing the amount of friction.

What slides across the water easier? Bare feet or water skis?
