Seems to me the instructions/recommendations that come with the D-specs says "all out" in the front, "all hard" in the rear. Idea being the adjustment you actually get is rebound adjustment. Softening the front lets the front come up as much as it is going to as quickly as it is going to, resulting in weight transfer to the back. But not much. Hardening the rear leaves the back to go down as it always would (not much), but slows the return, resisting return of weight to the front as much as it can (not much).
I did notice an improvement in 60-foot times on the car I had them on, when I adjusted them as noted: soft front, hard rear. But not much.
Otherwise, the D-specs did a remarkable job on roadability and autocrossing, with Steeda Sport springs. Good investment for all-around Mustanging, not so much if you want something extreme in the drag racing arena.
