Well, I've been contemplating on buying a DA over the past several months and I am finally going to pull the trigger on one since there is no "Professional Detailers" in my immediate area that offer stripping, clay barring, or polishing services, and I think I would rather do it myself than let a stranger touch my car. I'm really particular LOL.

Anyways, I was browsing a couple sites today and came across this kit on Chemical Guys website and am looking for some opinions.
http://www.chemicalguys.com/Chemical_Guys_HOL_668_Porter_Cable_7424XP_Kit_p/hol_668.htm

My paint is in pretty good condition after 11,000 miles of daily driving, and even several of them being in snow and icy conditions. I have a couple of light scratches on my hood, and some very light swirling on my front bumper and rear spoiler. So, I won't be needing to do any compounding.

Any input is appreciated!

Nice, the PC will be more than enough for what you want.

Good to hear LOL

Now since I don't have a water tap outside my apartment I was looking into their Chemical Guys CWS_888 - Hose Free ECOwash. The reviews seem all positive but I'm wondering if anyone here has used waterless car wash before.

The PC is a great starter machine. I recently upgraded to the flex and have had no regrets. You will get there eventually :) Good luck and dont hesitate to ask if you have questions

The PC is good for the money, but keep in mind, the Flex is many many times better.

that kit lacks pads, you need more. You'll most likely go through 2-3 of each color you use per detail.

I've used a waterless car wash before. It works pretty good if its just dust or very light dirt on the car. Anything more than that and you kind of need to wash it with water.
