Will a tune be required? All of the cars I ever installed one on never needed it...lol, back before computers.

Short answer no. But you'll be much happier if you do.

I used mine for a couple of weeks with no tune and even ran at the track. Really didn't do much better than with stock converter. But after the tune it was much better. Try to get the tune to lock up the converter at wide open throttle. I have mine lock at wot in second gear for nitrous. Depending on who is doing your tune they may or may not be able to do this.

I'm using a PI torque converter with 3200 stall and highly recommend it.

After the converter install you will probably find yourself wanting a trans fluid overflow/catch can.

Btw what 'this and that' do you have, that's a great et for an auto car with the listed mods and street tires

+1. My tune was adjusted over time to accommodate my shifting preferences.
Was using a PI 3000 stall (which is for sale now).

I had a trans overflow can, but it never had any fluid in it as far as I can tell. Still, didnt have to worry about it venting out and spitting fluid.
