TR6060 question

I'm going to install an LS2/T56 in my '06 GT and am doing as much research as I can. I know the TR6060 from the GT500 is an updated version of the T56, but the dimensions are virtually the same. Will the stock GT clutch master cylinder work with the T56 or will I need a GT500 clutch master cylinder?
The hydraulics will have to be modded and mated to an LS6 slave cylinder. Does anyone have any knowledge to help me? Mating an LS7 clutch/flywheel and LS6 slave to a GT/GT500 master cylinder is what I'm looking for help with. Will that setup work?

At one time I bought a slave cylinder shim for my Mustang transmission. It was labled for an ls and worked just fine.

That's all I got. Good luck.

I think that the input shaft on the LS model is 2" longer that the Ford. Do you have a photo of the trans? I know that there are 2 version of it. What bellhousing are you using?

The slave cylinder is the same between the the GT 3650 transmission and the GT500 6060 transmission.

Not sure on the T56 trans, I know Saleen ran the T56 in early Saleen extremes.

I will have some pics of the trans once it gets here on Wednedsay. I am using the f-body bellhousing, LS7 clutch, LS1 slave...which will have to be 'mated' with the stock GT master. That is, unless, the Ford slave will work with the LS7 clutch.....anyone familiar with both?

It is my understanding that the Slave cyc is the same. To makeup for the longer input shaft on the chevy and dodge the flywheel is offset, kind of like a deep dish, see how thick they are. Sorry photo is so big, i couldn't get it smaller

No. I don't know if I was very clear in my original post. I am installing an LS2 engine and T56 trans in my '06 GT.
My question is: will a GT500 slave cyinder work with an LS7 clutch?

Ok OP I actually know the answer to your question(for the most part). JPC racing has a braided steel clutch line that has special brass fittings that adapt to the stock clutch master cylinder. Their line is -3an with corresponding female -3an fittings. They will sell you the individual brass nipple fittings to you for $25 that has -3an male on one end and the custom nipple to the clutch master on the other end. You will need about a 36-40" -3an stainless clutch line as well. You need to find the size to the GM slave fittings to go on your -3an line. Now the exact PSI that the Ford and GM slaves require to engage/disengage I do not know, but I would imagine they are very close so the Ford master should work with the GM slave. The GM slave is longer than the GT/GT500 slave so those won't work on the LSx T-56 midplate being that they would be too short. That solves your clutch issue.

Now for transmission, if you are using the GTO transmission, use the Hurst GTO shifter as it is adequate for that tailshaft. If it is an F-body t-56, send Swarr automotive your shifter of choice and they can make you an offset remote shifter to compensate for the mustang's shifter tranny tunnel hole being further rearward than where the shifter base terminates.

I hope that helps somewhat.

I equate putting a chevy motor in a ford simular to a man putting a penis in his anus. :handjob::wt::wtf1::wow::thud:

The thing is though, that if said man could put his penis in his own anus, that would be impressive yet still disturbing. :roflmao:
