Hey guys, new to the forum here. I have a 2007 Mustang GT with 175,000 miles on it. It has a manual transmission. Only mods the car has is an intake and catback exhaust so pretty stock. I bought the car roughly 4 years ago with 90,000 miles and the guy said it had a new transmission in it from these guys, https://reman-transmission.com/transmission-codes/?code=TR3650. I can't verify that and even if he did it would be out of warranty.

When I first bought the car everything was fine but as time went on 3rd gear became harder and harder to shift into until now I can't even get it in 3rd gear, it just grinds like hell. I have absolutely no idea what could've caused it and now 4th is starting to grind some. Any ideas on what this could be?

You needed a clutch when it first started hard shifting.
Now you need a clutch and trans work.
I bet it grinds going into reverse.

Some would suggest you try changing trany fluid but I believe you are past that point. The tranny needs to come out and have new synchro rings installed. You likely will have to replace the gear that has been “grinding like hell” and the hub that mates with it. Stop grinding 4th or you will be replacing it also. Plan on installing a new clutch and throwout bearing with the repaired transmission.
