anyone ever have this? My shifter goes all the way to the back of the shifter cutout in 2nd, 4th and reverse.

I was at a track day a couple weeks ago, shifting it hard like I always do. There's only 1 second gear corner at PIR and I noticed a little harder than normal pulling down to 2nd. Down the back stretch it wouldn't go into fourth. Now my Pro 5.0 (no shifter stops) hits the back of the console. 1st, 3rd and 5th are about in the middle where neutral normally would be. Still shifts fine if I baby it. Haven't really driven it hard since.

Checked the shifter already, it's normal.

I'd get the car up on a lift or jack stands and double check the shifter mounts. It is obviously not in the correct position in relation to the transmission.

yea we did that here at the shop. Shifter in position, nothing unusual looking there. 2nd and 4th just 'feel' different. Almost a whine coming from them, until I try and listen close then I can't hear it.

Bent shifter fork

Bingo - I was thinking the same thing when I read the original post. Had the same thing happen on an old T5 back in the day. You'd be surprised at how thin the forks look.
