I've been chasing down an exhaust leak since I've had my car. It's apparently between the manifold and midpipe connection, but I can't get it to completely seal. The downpipes are from a MAC Prochamber and don't show any signs of damage, manifolds look fine. No matter how I put them on, I can't get a good seal. Am I stupid or are there any tips to get it on right? It's driving me nuts.

I'm presuming you're talking about the collector flange flare, When I installed a prochamber the flange also leaked, I had to have more flare done to the down-pipes as the pipes were barely flared.

I also replaced those crappy flanges as they bent when I cranked down on them.

If you are talking about the flares, make sure they are round. You can always use copper gasket there. Use anti seize if nothing else. Sometimes just anti seize will make the seal. If nothing else it makes, it easier to remove your exhaust.

If you are talking about the slip fit connections, have you tried the 2" wide band clamps? I use anti seize between pipes, squirt a bead of some high heat copper gasket around the seam and then clamp that 2" band around the pipe covering both seams. i used to always have leaks no matter what but now I don't. o'reilly Auto parts has them for just over $10 in every size. they are about the same price online so just get them locally and save shipping.
