Has anyone found a true replacement grill for their 05-09 GT, not an overlay? I'd like to keep the fog lights where they are too. I'm just looking to get rid of the honeycomb grill. It's a PITA to clean and I'd rather something like the Roush grill. Again, I wanna keep the fog lights though.

It'd be nice to find a matching piece for the lower grill too.

Thanks...

Used to be one made by DG Customs with brackets for the fogs and all but from what I know, they quit making them or went out of business. You may be able to find one though.

Both street scene and agent 47 also used to do a true grille replacement but neither have them on their websites anymore. You can find the true grille replacements for the V6 on the street scene site but the mounting tabs are different to the V8 so would need some modifying. If you find one let us know. I'd be interested.

There is also a size difference on the V6 and V8 grilles. Some people make up the difference in size with some autozone weather stripping.

In my experience some are overlays and some are replacements. I had a matching upper and lower on mine when I had the stock gt bumper. The upper was a replacement (no more honeycomb) but it did require a few holes to be drilled (would be covered by stock set up if you changed your mind). The kit I had came with brackets for hidden fogs (also needed a few holes drilled but wouldn't be seen if changing back to stock). I used the brackets until my heat exchanger upgrade and now the fogs won't fit. I still have the lower grille on the shelf at home from when I changed to the GT/CS bumper then I had to make a lower to match. If I was home I would see if I still have the brackets for the fogs, but wont be for another month. For the life of me, I can't remember where I got it from, might be able to dig it up.
