Friday night I was finally able to get to the track since installing the waste gate.

Well the track wasn't all that great since it was a Diesel truck shootout, you can here me chattering the tires. But I did manage 1.44 60' times and my best ever 1/8 mile time of 6.26 @ 113 mph. I picked up almost .10 and 3 mph in worse air over my previous best.

Unfortunately I am getting some pretty serious belt slip. It seems the 3.1 pulley and a 6 rib just don't work out. Around 11/12 lbs the boost gauge starts bouncing like crazy. I also started having some weird throttle body issues. Every pass, almost to the finish line the TB shut and the car died.

The car was ran on pump gas with Torco on my street tune with 15 deg of timing.

I think once I get the belt slip fixed and run my aggressive tune I can get some 9.6~9.7s out of it.

Looks damn good outta the hole!

Thanks, the car leaves good. The first 60' was a 1.48, the second was 1.44 and the 3rd was 1.46. I was fine with that 60' considering the track prep that night.

What size/brand of belt?

I am running a Gates 100" belt. Beefcake hooked me up with it. My boost is basically the same as before due to the slip, but gets there much sooner and holds better on the shifts. My goal is 13 or so with no slip.
Once I get the belt slip and TB issues fixed I think it will run close to mid 9's.

Do you believe it's going to be necessary to step up to the 8 rib conversion or maybe go with a tighter belt? The car is definitely moving and your results on the bottom end make me excited to go for the 9s (10.10 @ 136-137 right now)

I don't see how I can go with a tighter belt. This one barely fits on. I am going to try one more trick that Omar told me......put some VHT on it. I want it to make it through the fall, then go with the 8 rib and bigger head unit over the winter.

If the car would have back halved like it normally does I should have seen a 9.7 on the street tune. My previous 9.8 runs were all over 140 mph, so between the TB shutting and belt slip I am losing quite a bit out the back.

Good runs sir, looking forward to seeing ya make some passes.

Thanks, I am trying to work out the bugs since setting it up different. I plan on letting it loose at the rental.

Damn that is bad ass

Thanks.

Sorry for such short questions but I'm on mobile, you're already on the last idler hole too?

With the 100" belt I had to use the middle idler hole. With the idler in this position I can barely get the belt on.

Car is sick! Stock motor?

Thanks, I am running a Boss short block, billet oil pump gears, and boss valve springs.

Are you going to upgrade to a YSI or a Paxton 2200 SL head unit?

Looks good and with some more left on the table. With 113 at the 1/8th you should be around 141 at the 1/4 when you get everything sorted out.

Probably a YSI. I have been talking to Beefcake about one.

My car usually gains 29~30 out the back so I was guessing around 142. I am going to give it another shot Saturday.
