I just used my new SCT Xcal3 tuner and I am not happy with the results, here is my issue- I have hardly any power until I get to about 3K RPMs then the car just takes off, does anybody have an idea of what could be wrong?? The only mods on the car are Mac axle back mufflers, BBK CAI, and the Xcal 3. Any and all help is much appreciated!!

Do you have an intake as well? If not, you can order an intake from Bamachips and get 3 free tunes. If you do have an intake, get a tune from bamachips. You will not be disappointed in there tunes.

Did you tune the car or was it a tune that came with the XCAL3? I'd go back to whomever provided you with the tune and ask them to make some adjustments for you.

Your best bet would be to just get a custom tune from a local tuner in your area.

Well the Xcal 3 that I bought didnt have any preloaded tunes, I had to go in and adjust everything on my own, should it have some tunes already loaded on to the tuner?? All I did to be safe was advanced the spark a couple of degees, any suggestions?? Thanks everybody for your help!

Don't Fuck with it yourself! It is way too easy to blow your motor. Have a tuner make adjustments for you. My :2cents:

This is the truth!!! Better to pay a few hundred to get it done right, then to pay a few thousand to fix it. A good tuner will safely get the most out of your car.

get a email tune from Bamachips, BBR, RET or JDM and you'll be set (until you want more speed!)

Damn, the only reason I put a couple of degrees in was because my buddy at my local speed shop said that would be safe! I just put it back to the stock settings! Thanks to everybodies quick replies!

Changing the user defined settings isn't setting up your tune correctly for the new intake etc.
