I have a 2009 GT with a 61mm Hellion kit on it. I just had a complete BMR suspension and Strange coilovers installed. What is the best gear i can run in my car that will give me the best 60 ft and MPH combo. Car currently has 4.10s.
it has seen 15 pounds on the dyno. Car has a LenTech 4R70W in it with a PTC converter. Car pulls 1.6x in the 60 ft but falls on its face on the 1-2 shift. Im using a AMS1000 to ramp my boost in. Car launches on 10 pounds.
What are you BC are you running allodds?Datalog your throttle body. I had this issue and my throttle blade kept closing right after the launch. My 60' went from 1.7s to 1.39 with the tune change. It was a torque management issue that was changed. Even though you turn it off in the tune, it still has to be raised.
Check that out with a datalog. You will see the throttle blade angle close while your foot is pressing the gas pedal all the way down.
Nice setup and the best setup with that AMS 1000. I am in the market for a AMS 500 or 1000 and CO2 setup. Only way to bracket race with a turbo car. Then you can put a 4lb spring in the gate and control all the way that turbo can spin.
With your car leaving on 10psi, you should be in the 1.4s 60' if not better.
Some very good points. Could also be him bumping the rev limiter before the shift completes in his trans which could also cause the throttle blade to close momentarily, unless that is what you are already talking about, lol.Datalog your throttle body. What does the converter stall at? Do you have a pic of your dyno run (or the DRF file if it was on a Dynojet)? I assume you are wanting the best gear for a 1/4 mile run and not 1/8 right?

For a big boost stalled auto I would go 3.55 or 3.73.
When is the convertor set to lock up?
