You didn't think a turbo was much better. Racecar? Point was with a PD and ice you won't see those temps. But in everyday street car use the temps will be at or just above ambient in boost. Add ice and you get those temps. On a PD car w an upgraded heat exchanger you're still going to be over 100 deg at idle before you even start to play.
In a daily car E85 or methanol for octane wouldn't be bad purely for octane. Properly intercooled your gains won't be as much as they will be with a PD car.
I didn't say PD cars are horrible at making power. I said don't be surprised if they don't fair well in a heat marathon, and it would be my last choice. Despite what they make on the dyno they will start to drop the power before any other form of F/I regardless of bandaids. If you can't see the differences between that and your turbo idk what else to say.
