This a 135 amp Carquest alternator that is about 2 years old with about 5k miles on it. I thought is might be going bad, so I took the opportunity to upgrade to a 200 amp PA performance alternator. However, the new alternator doesn't behave any differently . . . other than showing an overall higher volts reading in various conditions.
So, this alternator is probably fine, but I would sell it as needing rebuilt just in case.
