Update on my thread. I went with the SR Performance Strut and Shock package from American Muscle. GT 500 strut mounts. For what I am looking for. Economical upgrade from old OEM. I think that is a good start for my Mule and me. Just got the parts in. Not installed . Yet. So. No feedback on the difference. Thanks to everyone for all of the great info, advice, recommendations.
I know it has been a while. A lot of opinions have been expressed. My thoughts on the SR package I purchased. The only option that I have to compare to is the OEM that was on there. The SR package is definitely more of a firm ride. I won't say more stiff. Took a little getting used to. I can take curve marked as 50 mph at 70 mph and still feel like it is locked in on rails. Even with bumps in it. I am sure there are better setups out there. I am satisfied with what I have. A lot better than what I had. Thanks for all the great advice. Now I think I need rear stabilizer bar bushings. For another topic.

My 2008 Mustang GT is new to me with 70,000 miles on it. It has all OEM suspension. I just want to replace with better. I was thinking about the SR Shock Strut kit. And. GT 500 strut mounts. As a start. For a daily driver. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.
… I am going through this process right now with my GT 2008 (115,000 miles).

At this stage, I am intending to Replace lower rear control arms, lower front control arms and front upper struts with Ford Performance options (sourced from CJPonyparts).

An issue for me is to secure superior, stronger replacements- while at the same time avoiding the trap of going with polyurethane bushings that may make my road ride too bumpy.

I am still trying to find the right option for the rear upper control arm- I will probably get an option (with rubber bushing) from Rockauto or FordPartsGiant.

Hope your project went well .

Adrian
