Hi i just recently got my car tuned. Its a 07 Mustang Gt and it has a p-1sc-1 procharger running 6lb of boost, and it came out 472 hp and 411 tq to the wheels on the dyno. i still have the stock clutch in and i can feel it starting to give, i plan on replacing it but not sure which way to go. i went online and read reviews and it seems eveywhere i do i get reviews from people that love the brand im looking at then go to another site and i get reviews of people bashing them. i plan on making about 550 hp range soon and just want a clutch that will hold up and still drive smooth. i looked at spec, ram, cf, any insight is greatly appreciated.

Hmmm, funny never have money to do it right the first time, but we always have the money to do it twice.

Like mentioned, Mcleod twin disk. Spend the money and forget about it. You wont regret it!

Since the stocker gave way about 5k miles after the Whipple install I went with a Centerforce DF setup. These always did well on my 4x4's, but it only lasted about 12k and most cant stand the peddle pressure. They can sometimes have problems with disengaging. Next I went with a P-51 Roush disk that uses the stock pressure plate. Peddle is stock, but it's rough on the flywheel and have a feeling thie disk has chewed on it a bit. I've got 20k miles on it so far and still holding strong. It's a very grabby setup. Next I'll probably go with the McLeod... I've been told to use the older flywheel (99-04) with it as it has more surface area due to having a smaller center ring and matches up better with the RST disk

I've heard a lot of good things about the exedy mach 500 clutch. I'm planning on going with that when the time comes.

McLeod is the best clutch I have found after trying several others.
Yes, the McLeod will work with the stock flywheel. If you have an older flywheel available, you can put it on and get a little more surface contact area. One thing, change the slave while you are in there. Even if you don't have a lot of miles. Cheap insurance. Other than that everything is included with the clutch.

Just had an RST installed, and so far I'm very pleased. I also went with the matching Mcleod aluminum flywheel and put in a new throwout bearing.
