What type of throw out bearing do I need? Stock? Adjustable? What brand?

Anything else for the install? Any tips?

What flywheel? Stock or aftermarket?

It is critical the clearances be set properly. Download the how to's from McLeod, as they are different from the instructions that come in the box. Whether you bought it as a kit set up on the McLeod flywheel or not, you have to double check the clearances. BEfore you start I would make sure you have enough shims in .010" to get the clearance. (I would personally recommend the middle of the spec or .025" to allow for heat expansion)

I assume you are doing it yourself, if not make sure the shop has done a few RST's. They have to check clearance or once it wams up your gonna have issues. Properly set up they are sweet.

I used a new Ford Stock Slave and new Pilot bearing, as well as FRPP bolts to attach the flywheel to the crank(lots of people re-use these).

Thanks! Good info. I am actually have a shop do this. I will research their experience with these clutches. What about an adjustable slave/throw out? Like Ram or McLeod? McLeod is about $150 more.

Oem slave works great with the rst due to pressure plate stiffness being very similiar to the stock clutch.

Yes, my first rst for the 3650 was a dream performed flawlessly, loved it.

When I did the trans swap the floater plate somehow got bent causing all the issues after that. They happened to have a 26 spline act clutch at the shop which they normaly use for 03/04 cobras, threw it in and it worked so i returned the rst, no sense in swapping the clutch again imho.

How was the "chatter" or harmonics at 1500-1900rpm?

OP: IIRC my rst clutches didn't come with an alignment tool. You might want to check that out and buy or borrow one prior to planning the swap.

I've had 1700 rpm noise in 4th with both the 10 spline version and 26 spline. It's normal so don't get too concerned if you hear it.
