On my 13, behind where the grille goes there is a plastic bar that connects above the grille and below it (but does not connect to the grille). What is it, what does it do, and can I cut it out?
From the front:
from above with the hood popped (looking down where the latch is):
It is probably to keep the form of the grill surround, so it doesn't sag. The 2013/4's have a shit ton of plastic holding everything together in there.

well it's not attached to the gloss black surround (the one that's chrome on the v6)
the reason I ask is I made a custom grille delete but it looks goofy with that piece behind it. I guess I will test the look with mesh between the fogs
Does it unbolt or would you need to cut it out? if it unbolts, take it out for awhile and see if anything moves or sags... if not you should be good to go.
