What next?

I am sitting here at a loss as to what i should do next to make my car faster. So far the only things i have done are, JLT CAI, Axle Back exhaust, Bamachips 93 race tune, Roush stage 3 suspension, and Long tubes waiting to install. where do i go next? im looking for bolt ons (no gears) that will wake the car up a little more. im not ready for F/I just yet so thats out. what should i do? Pulleys? CMDPs?

I would install your longtubes, then get some delete plates along with u/d pulleys. If that's not enough get some cams.

Whats the optimal gear for road racing? What gear do you currently have?

Get those LT's installed too.

A quality longtube header will make atleast 15-20hp

Pullies and plates are good for a solid 10whp, anymore than that is just being optimistic IMO...

With all 3 you WILL notice a nice improvement, longtubes being the biggest difference. Pullies make the car more fun to drive (Faster revs = easier downshifts)

CMDP's are IMO a waste of money, you know who realspeed is, dan carlson told me the only time they even bother with them is with vortech supercharger installs...i forgot the reason why, but i remember it made sense.


cheap...power...NITROUS! 75 shot all day no problem as long as its tuned. if you can install it yourself, you can get all parts most certainly brand new for under 1500 plus another few hundred for a tune.

get the carmen goody pullies or however you spell it, they are super nice. Look up eaglestroker for more info on then or do a search...

delete plates and a retune from maybe bbr. that will get you more in the upper range for road racing.

Definitely get the LT's installed first and then see where you stand. Delete Plates might not be a bad idea too but if you decide to get them put them in at the same time so you don't need to buy two separate tunes for them.

Off-Topic question to OP: Isn't the Roush Stage 3 suspension only meant for vehicles with Roushchargers?
