Hey guys,

I have an 08 that has black fingerprints from me working on my car and then touching the door panels. There's also a lot of stubborn stains on the kick plates. I've tried simple green, windex, and Meguires interior cleaner with no success. Will acetone fade the plastic? What else can I try?

CG Grim Reaper.....it is concentrated so you are going to have to cut it down.

Took care of my wife Edge and her tan interior.

purple power is available at a lot of places, again though it has to be reduced or it will eat your door panels.

I usually use 1Z cockpit for general cleaning but it will poor some good dirt up. If it is horrible I use Meguire's All purpose cleaner at 10:1 then if not I bump it up to 4:1

CG's all purpose cleaner. It is also a concentrate so it has to be cut. I also like to top the interior with Aerospace 303.
Have you tried hot, soapy water? It is going to take some elbow grease to get rid of the grease marks due to the texture of the panels.
Also, try one of those Mr. Clean magic erasiers but try it in a small spot you wont see first, it might fade the plastic. I used one on a 99 for the kick panels, on gray, and it did the trick.
Good luck

I'm lucky to have black plastic, but on other cars I use Mr. Clean magic erasers. They work like magic on those kick plate marks caused by shoes.. and you can get them locally.

I'd stay away from purple power and simple green even when diluted. Get yourself a good all purpose cleaner as mentioned above and dress with something according to your tastes, I use CG VRP on the plastic and Leather conditioner on the panels.

I have used CG all clean on my dad's work truck and it is super concentrated 20:1 cleaned up all the grease and dirt. Also used CG grime reaper but now prefer all clean.
