well i wanted to update everyone on what i have decided to do. since the gt500 hood vent will interfere with my intake tube from steeda i will not be installing it. i was searching around for a better louver design that was not as intrusive as the runcool louvers and found that the 90 pontiac grand prix turbo has a nice set installed as factory. they look similar to the 13 louvers to a point and were extremely cheap for me to purchase. they come with drip trays to keep water intrusion to a minimum also and are heavy duty plastic and can take a tremendous amount of heat, as the 3800 gtp cars ran very hot from the factory. they are approx 23 inches long by 6 inches wide and i will be mounting them above the area where the headers will be.

forgot to add, i will be covering my hood, louvers, front CDC lip and trunk without faux gas cap in flat black or carbon fiber vinyl made by 3m. i am still on the fence about my roof panel but it may help complete the look.

here is the link to the material for the carbon fiber
www.carbonfiberfilm.com/

i think it should come out great and really contrast everything.

Any links or pictures showing what they look like?

I was just at my local Ford dealer picking up some oil filters and asked what the price was for the new 2013 hood extractor vents.

The answer was $350 for each side!

Guess their not in my plans anymore.

Looking forward to them.

Now that the warm weather is here again I'm getting anxious to do something.

well here they are just layed over the spots i want to add them too. after some string theory on low pressure spots i believe this to be the best place for heat removal from the engine bay....
