Which tune?!?

I've been running the 93 octane Bama Race/Torque/Performance tune along with a JLT II CAI for over a year and absolutely loved the Race tune. I'm planning to install delete plates soon but getting an updated tune isn't gonna happen. I'm considering either a mail order Brookspeed tune or one from Wes@tpsperformance. Any recommendations? I'm looking for something as close to, if not better than the Bama race tune. I don't have any other engine mods.

Thanks in advance!

I think either company would be a good choice. Brooksspeeds tunes are safe, but if you want it more aggressive, then just them know.

BBR, Brenspeed, Brookspeed and a few others will get you taken care of.

I am running both Brenspeed and BBR tunes at the moment. They are both great but I give a slight advantage to the BBR tune feeling better (SOTP of course). I even had my car dyno tuned locally and my email tunes are better.

Lol then go to a different tuner.

Lol true that, I have discussed my experience on here before. Long story short, the dyno tune felt great a WOT, but that was it. Part throttle driveablilty sucked. There are not many options locally here for tuners. Hence why I have stuck with email tunes until I find someone worthy.

I had a Bama tune, added a sall converter and the tune slipped badly when it went into 4th. Got a tune from Wes@TPS and all is good.

Did you ever get your tune revised from Doug once you got the converter?

After emailing him for a month to get rivised tune for the cams and never got a response, I went with Wes, he took care of that in a matter of hours, and the same with t/c.......I have no doubt Doug could have handled it, but since he didn't respond I had to do something. Don't you agree

You know, I have been hearing about you all. When I get some more money/mods I will more than likely be giving you a call.

Hopfully you will be tuning my twin screwed stang later this summer...haha. As long as everything pans out right.

Believe me I hear you on the wait with Doug. I don't recommend him to anyone that can't wait at least a month. I'm getting dyno'd in a month to see how spot on he is with his tunes. I wanna see first hand if he's worth the wait.

Not to get off topic too much, but I dynoed my car with Doug's tune and it put out good numbers and the A/F was safe.

From personal experience, you should go with a BBR. They are really good, and extremely fast to get your tune done.

I just got my tune from BBR last night. I'll be loading it up later this evening when I install my cai. I'll post my initial thoughts.

theres several good tuners, but choose a tuner who actually cares about all their customers in equal matter and not wait forever for a slight tune tweak or revision.
