Centrifugal blowers love compression 9.7 will be perfect it will keep driveability great as well as making awesome power without having a ton of boost making it operate more efficient

@Retro: Stripe kit i had done at a vinyal sign shop. They bad it for me there on the spot.. Needs to go back as the rear right side is slanted inwards. NOT really noticable but im anal about my car.. and the scoop is Roush Correct ;)

Very nice!!! I am going ot have to look into a vinyl shop by me.. Sorry, it looks sick, i am stealing that setup. I think it will look good with my steeda pentars once all satin/matte black. If you don't mind me asking, how much did that cost/how long did they have your car?

they had it about all day ! Cost me 450 for EVERYTHING. I bought the Pre cut set and it was way off , didnt fit right.. i was ubber unhappy so i had the shop do it this way ! Much better ! im adding the super snake stripes (the single inch line on each side to finish it off.) Thinking of getting the wheels done in Powdercoat Flat black to tie it all in.

Damn, i guess that is not too bad of a price, considering the mishap. Yeah, flat black would look sick with ur flat black stripes. I want a little shine on my stripe kit, but not full out glossy.. Same goes to my wheels.

Welcome to Cali ! everything is soooo fucking pricey in this state!

Yeh when I get back im gonna see of they can do a mock up on the hood with a glossier stripe to match the wheels and then ill make my final call ! ;)

^Personally, the way your stang is done up.. It looks WAY better, and it will be faster shortly! =) Keep us posted on the stripe/rim situation.

@Grn: Again, im not educated enough in the boost world to really tell you,lol. I want to be able to see above 500hp easy with out the fear of killing the engine. So im guessing around 12 since 10 and below ..from what ive seen and heard is somewhat safe. I have the Fore Triple Pump and 60lb injectors being added with this build.

At 500rwhp and 10-12psi you'll be safe running at a 9:7:1 CR with a forged shortblock. Especially if you plan on running aftermarket heads. If not, the stock heads will do just fine, just ask Pete, he has made killer numbers with the stock heads and cams.
Hell you can run big boost on a 9:7:1 even higher compression motor just other variables come into play to allow to motor to sustain itself and not detonate (added fuel, race gas, timing...etc)
You may want to consider something around the 9:1 or 9:3 area because we all know once you start making power you'll want more, and you might as well build it to handle it the first time around so you don't have to repeat and swap out internals when that 500,550,600 isn't enough for you.
The centri's like the procharger do very well with slightly higher compression motors, the make most their power on the big end not down low ( but that can be altered as well with the right tuning and gear) My Paxton made full boost around 2900-3000 with my 3.73s and it pulled like a train until 6800.

You'll be fine either route you go... As long as it forged and tuned good, boost away my friend.

hahahaha thanks Grn. Yeh Its my DD for right now. Once a month ill be buying ONE (giant or small) major part for the engine build and trans, and diff. Would love to see number in and around 550+ but i know with that comes shit that breaks.. so i figured. Just piece it together slowly and do it right once ! The tuners i have now IMO are the best in Cali that i have seen (from the bay area north is all i know ;) ) So i trust them and there recomendations.

@ Caleb - Hell yes it will be candy red.! Same color as the Valve Covers !
