Heres my 1995 v6 DD. not a 05-09GT but tires are pretty wide. 315s. My Black chrome FR500s are waiting for their rubber this spring. thinking on going with 285/40 BFG KDW 2s.

+1 shockwave. nice setup on your car!
i do run the 295/45/18's on the rear and the tire rubs when i have my rim/tire drag setup in the car OR when going on the freeway and hit a big dip. nothing major though and i've actually thought of going with the 40 series tire like you have.

and +1000 on the top of the tire tucking inside the fender for the most part. i see why you don't have a rubbing issue. i might sell my rear set of tires since they only have about 1400 miles on them right now and go with the same size as you.

here's a few shots of mine

Here are some tiny (compared to you guy's) 285/40X18 on a 10 inch wheel. Goodyear Eagle f1 supercar tires.

Goodyear F1 supercar in 285/40/18 here as well. I got rid of my 295/45/18. Overkill for my power levels and just added more OD and rotating mass than I wanted.

Hey Shockwave, thought you were running the Saleen 45 mm off set ?

I think you might be right. I think the 05+ offset for 18x10 wheels is 45mm, even though I could have sworn the box said 40mm. I'll get to the bottom of this.

A Very interesting Thread and some Great Pics

285/40/18 FI Goodyear Supercar Tires
Bullitt Wheels widened by Weldcraft to 10"
They have 25mm H&R Hub Centric Spacers added.
Tires do stick out past the rear lip of the fender.
255/45/18's in Front.

Not the best pics in the world but this was a old wheel setup 17x10.5's with 315-35's .....They did stick out past the fender just under 1/2" with a 27mm offset and the wide tires only reason I ditched them was because of the low overall height ( 26" ) and running stock springs at the time , my new setup is 305-45's on 18x10 wheels

Great thread with some really nice shots. Shockwave, wow, what a car. Same with the blackout out one Mickys Gt I think. Awesome cars.

I have BFG KD 2's 285/40/18 on 9' rims out back. 255/45 in front.
