Will this tire setup work?

Does anyone have 285/40 r17s on a 17 x 8 inch rim? I am lowered also. Wondering if it will fit in the rear. Looking at the nitto nt 555.

i think a 275 is the extreme limit imho...those will bulge quite a bit....285's will be even worse

Not only that, but it's a short tire. 25.95 Inches. A little over 2" shorter than the 28" 275-50-17 NT 450's I run on the street.

Not a good size IMO.

Choices are slim in 275/50/17's which is the biggest you can run on a 17x8.

Nitto and Falkens both make a tire that size if you want something completely street focused. If you get little rain or it is a weekend car get the M&H DR's.

I almost went that route but bought some GT500 take offs instead.
