Let me give you a little science lesson we'll use something else but you'll get the drift if you read this. Why do whale sharks and whales look so much alike? In evolution it is called convergent evolution. It happens in engineering and even inventions all the time. But it is really obvious if you look at cars today. Almost every car in a particular price range has way more in common than they have different. Why because the manufacturer has a set of criteria, some he sets, some the customer sets and some the government sets [usually to our detriment]. Two parts created to function the same will often look the same for no other reason then it was the logical engineered answer to the requirements. If you can't understand this you aren't qualified to comment on whether something is a copy or not.
How do you feel about direct knock off copies made by dimensioning the competitors parts? Not just a jack pad that everyone who uses a jack is going to think of but copies of complicated parts?
