My wife's bimmer is $$$$$ to service and repair, she has an 07 e90. Her car has coilovers and the thing handles like a dream. IMO there's nothing like a V8 rumble. If I were in your shoes I'd go for the 5.0 or GT500, no amount of turbos will ever replicate the smile a V8 puts in your face.

glad you were relativity unscathed.

My immediate response when I opened the thread was, "Was Kuro driving?"

So hella flush are rims that are bigger than your tires?

Not exactly. The idea is to have the tires tucked up in the wheel wells but the rim is exposed to acheive the illusion of just rim and car body, no tire, or VERY LITTLE tire, exposed, plus allowing the rim to be "flush" with the body. Plus having the body "flush" with the pavement.

C6 Z06 FTW!!! None of that gay ass "hella flush" shit haha. All you'll be looked at as when you drive through San Marcos on campus is oh another rich boy that mommy and daddy bought this car for. I promise you that lol I lived there for 2 years. And I would hope you don't need the car to get more. And sorry about the ride bro it was too nice to go out like that. BTW not trying to be a prick I am just telling you man to man

I was REALLY upset for about an hour after it happened. I'm pretty chill about it now. I'm actually hoping they total it so i can move on. The procharger seems to be fine so hopefully i'll be able to get some money out of that.

Lesson learned: 4.10s + Short tires + 500hp = Too much for the street.

I did the same exact thing in my 500hp 01 Z06 (heads, cam, cai, full exhaust & tune) merging onto a highway punched it in 3rd gear and the ass end just flew to one side, tried to counter, swung back to the other side and missed an SUV by inches, then swung back the other way again and the side of the car kissed the guard rail. In terms of damage I was a lot more lucky then you were. There was just a light scraping down the side of the car and no real body damage other then the BSM. I just had to have the side of the car resprayed. That was on the stock Goodyear Supercar F1's which were not warmed up and it was only like 45-50 degrees out. Was very stupid of me. Worst yet, was my girlfriend was right behind me when it happened. We had just picked up her new car. After that I switched to DR's out back and never messed around when it was too cool outside.

By the way, what size are your rear tires? Are they BFG KDW2 295/35/18's?

what tires you running?

Just FYI, my insurance gave me "partial reimbursement" on my mods as well when they totalled my previous car. I got $100 for floormats that cost $60, but I also got $200 for rims that cost $1600 (and were in perfect condition). So take that with a grain of salt.

Many years ago when I totalled My Supra, the insurance cut me a check for the whole thing and I got to keep the car which I then parted out. I really made out on the deal. Guess maybe it depends on the company or maybe they just don't do that anymore.

Seen that before. Such a gorgeous bad-arse looking vette and one of the best looking cars ever IMO.

Haha the way people look at me doesn't bother me a bit man. Living in austin the last 2 years, i got so many dirty looking from 'rich' frat boys which made me LOL to the max. They were jealous as fuck of my ride.

On a serious note, as much as id love to have one, i don't think a C6 Z would be practical for me at this stage in my life. In a few years, definitely. I've already lost interest in the BMW after reading on them for a couple of days and a lot of the guys in this very thread have persuaded me to get myself back in a v8. I'm waiting for my insurance to send me a check for the car and than i can start shopping. Up in the air between a 5.0 or a 07-09 shelby.

Yoo Greg, is was def cool chatting with you at Matt at the shop yesterday. Hope you get the roush up and running soon. I'm sure i'll be seeing you up there once i get a new car. I'm Glad i got a ride in that 5.0 man, it was fucking badass.

^ Bad ass bro!!! C6 Z is next on my list which hopefully isn't too long. I am also seriously considering an older gt500 as well. I am really glad you are looking to stay in the mustang family I was about to immediately hate you for getting the BMW lol jk. You could also go to the vette family and I wouldnt be mad!
