As the title suggests, I'm looking for an MT82 in good condition.

I would prefer to buy one in central Ohio, but I will consider paying for shipping if nothing local is available.

Haha good question...

The cheapest one I've found so far is $1500 + S&H. I'd rather not pay much more than that unless I was very confident about its condition.

Why do you ask...?

I've toyed around with the idea of getting a T56 but the $5500 package price has stopped me from doing that.

Selling the MT82 would help pay some of that, selling the DSS driveshaft would also help, making the T56 a lot more affordable :)

Ah, gotcha. Well, if your sychros are in good shape (no grinding or resistance when shifting), I'd rather buy yours for $1500 + S&H than one with unknown history. NH is a bit of a drive for me, so it would have to be shipped.

I won't be able to touch the car for another 2 weeks, so I'm not in a rush to find a replacement. Let me know what you decide. I already have a DSS driveshaft, so you'll have to find another buyer for yours.

Scan the coyote Facebook page. I feel like $1500 is way too much for one of those. I'd sell you the spare 6060 I have for $1500. It's not butter smooth and has 45k miles on it, but I haven't met a 6060 that is smooth.

We will be pulling the one from our S550 this winter (3000mi). T56 going in. I'm not sure on the timing though. When do you need one by?

I'm in no rush. My car is in storage for the winter, so I won't be able to swap the transmission until March. As long as I can get something by the end of February, it should be no problem. I assume the S550 uses the same MT82 that's in the S197?

Thanks.

Slightly improved, but the same.
