Looking through old photos last night and came across this one. This is the one and only photo that I took and even know of my first Mustang. The Mustang was my second car in HS. It was a 1983 Mustang GT hatchback, black on black, had a matte black painted center hood scoop and center hood area with silver pin-striping on the sides of it, it was a 5 speed 5.0 302 big ol' Holley 4 barrel on it. Previous owner put on the fiberglass front spoiler with fog lights and it had aluminum louvers on the rear hatchback, it had cams too (or at least sounded like it did)! I remember the biggest PIA with that car was taking out the old stereo. I think they built cars around the stereos back then! That was a bad ass car back in the day and a "kitty" magnet! I remember racing a Ferrari (Magnum PI type Ferrari) down Pacific Coast Highway back when I lived in Huntington Beach CA. Here's the crappy pic from a Polaroid instant camera:

'67 Coupe with a 289. Drove past this car for a month before finally saving enough to by it. I was a complete dumbass teenager and ended up wrecking it a few times and finally it went bye bye.

My first Mustang was a slightly used '75 Mach 1 that I bought 30 years ago. 2.8L V6, 4 speed manual trans, and 3.55 gears. Bone stock with 105hp, it was good for 20 to 21 seconds in the 1/4 mile.

After quite a few mods (hard to find for a V6 back then), I had it running mid 16's in the 1/4 mile: Holley 4bbl carb, Offenhauser high rise aluminum intake, Isky cam, Crane valvetrain, Clifford long tube headers with dual exhaust, 8" Ford rear end, Lakewood traction bars, and 295/50/15 rear tires.

Since then, I've owned a couple 5.0L's, several GT's, and another Mach 1 ('03). My '11 GT is my 7th Mustang and certainly not my last Mustang.

Mine was a 97 Cobra in 2002. I was actually looking for 98-00 SS but couldn't find one and found the Cobra. Did bolt ons and gears. Quick car but it needed boost bad. Lost it in divorce. I had two other cars(02 Explorer sport dropped on 22's/and a old Thunderbird DD) and ex wife wanted Cobra just to piss me off. Judge sided with her.

She blew it up 6 months later over revving it. She couldn't even drive a stick when won it in divorce.

This is my first mustang. Family has been selling Ford's since 1973 and I always wanted a Mustang. Finally was able to get one (with help) in December 2009 - Got the car Christmas morning. It was my dream car - a 2009 Black Bullitt Mustang.

Some people always believed that they just gave me the car and I am spoiled... nothing pisses me off more. I work 3 jobs, and own my own boutique company. I pay the monthly payments and majority of the insurance. I worked hard to get what I wanted and I appreciate you seeing that.

After YEARS of flat out ford hatred, my uncle bought a SVT lightning. That truck won me over. So after a s2000 and an m3 I decided i wanted to go back to my (chevy) muscle car roots. The 4th gen twins were ok and I always secretly loved the s197 body. So I decided to grow up, do some research and start looking at mustangs. Here we are a year and a half later and I LOVE this car. It's my first ford and first mustang but it will not be my last of either. Ford has won me over.

My dad said no 5.0 and no Z28 when I turned 16 because of insurance. I had to settle for a basic 84 Camaro with a V8. One of my good buddies in high school was raised a Chevy boy (he still owns his 66 Chevelle), so I was influenced with Chevy over Ford. After 2 more Camaros and a few V6 cars, I wanted another Camaro. Couldn't find any in decent condition. In 2004, I came across a 1995 Cobra and said "why not?". I haven't owned anything but a Ford since then.

Keep it up bro. Working hard at your age pays big dividends later in life.

The redesign in 05 is what sold me on the mustang. That and the huge affordable aftermarket. While this model is my first, I doubt it'll be my last.:thumb2:
