What brought me to this forum is the purchase of a stock 2006 GT 5-speed convertible with 61,000 miles.
I've had a string of Mustangs over the years, including a FFR Cobra that I built around an 88 GT 5.0 donor. Also owned a parade of MGBs and TR6s.
First car was a 67 Camaro RS convertible 327 4spd - still exists in BC Canada.
Any good Mustang or car groups here in SW FL?

I have a 05 Gt with the same exact no start issue as you had. I tried what you put in your thread and it cranked once, but I haven't been able to get it to do it again. Did you end up replacing any parts on yours?

It was a loose connection in the harness that runs right in front of the fuse box (sjb)in the passenger kick panel.

Does anyone have a Vert with a leak somewhere on the drivers side ? I've done the grommets, any other idea why my floor is a carpet swamp ?
Couldn't figure out how to reply again. Lol. Oem hat. Either keep yours and just replace the pump if needed. Or pick up a used oem hat from a salvage yard etc. Either way you want the reliability of the oem hat assembly.

I see people talking about the "hat", and I'm assuming that is the pump housing, and that you are saying to pull the new pump out of the housing and put it in the OEM housing ("hat"). Is that right? Are the aftermarket housings that crappy? That sucks!
Hello Jeremy, I was pointed in your direction for answers. I installed a new stock fuel pump in my 2005 GT. It won't seem to pull the last 4-5 gallons of gas out of the passenger side tank. The computer says 60 miles to empty, but it stalls out. A fillup at that point only takes 12 gallons. I'm thinking that I somehow damaged the crossover tube but I don't know. If you have any ideas let me know.

Yeah your siphon isn't functioning properly. So either the tube got messed up inside the tank or its in adequate design on the new aftermarket fuel hat. Stick to oem style hat is my best advice.

Thanks. I just finished pulling it all apart again so I could check the crossover tube. Stuck my whole arm in both sides of the tank, and I couldn't feel any kinks or breaks. I even hooked up a vacuum pump to it and it holds vacuum. So I'm assuming the pump is a crap design. I'll drive it down to empty this week and see how it goes. Any thoughts on which brand to buy as a replacement?

I saw your post from back in Nov to a thread about a member with a stuck bolt in a lower control arm where you mentioned that you have a EPAS rack from a 2013 GT that you are looking to get rid of. Are you still looking to get rid of it? If so, how much do you want for it?

What’s the general nitrous limit on a 2011 FBO coyote? I’m hearing 150 shot with E85 is safe. Can anyone confirm?
I have an 07 GT Coyote Swap I am doing now. I am using a 6R80, 30 inch tall Hoosier drag radials, 3:08 gear and a Circle D 6F converter with a Pro-Charger. I am still in the putting it all together now and I am building it for bracket racing 1/8th mile. I am wondering if the Converter will be to loose and if I need to change to a 4C? Then again, maybe I need the loose converter to get the car rolling?
I am looking for Pro Charger information 5.0 Coyote 6R80 transmission and what stall to use with it and 308 gear 30 inch tall tires?
