I've been running Amsoil for about a good year, year and a half. I use the Signature serious 5W30 and I personally like the oil.

After about 3K miles, there is about 5.5 qts left in the car, whereas, when I used RP, I would get the full 6qts back even after 3K miles.

I would recommend Amsoil to anyone. Great product.

Why not go with what is made for your car? 0w20? I've been running Amsoil 0w30 for quite some time and it's the best oil I've ever run. I've had Blackstone Labs test samples of the Amsoil 0w30 and Royal Purple. The Amsoil comes out on tops by far. I'll be making the switch to 0w20 as soon as I need to change it. It was just recently released.

^^^ Definitely a good choice.

Less Valvetrain noise, and the oil won't be as thin after the heat breaks it down, so the 30wt. is better in hot.

You will be happy, and should notice a difference pretty much right away. I use the 5W30 with a RP Oil filter :D

I run Amsoil 0W20 in the stang with their filter, and 0W30 in the LGT with their filter.

My car has 30k on Amsoil 0W20...they now have a signature series 0W20 that I'll be switching to next change.

I used Amsoil 0W30 for 6 years and 80k in my last car... run it in my quads...even put some leftover oil in my Honda lawnmower! Great product, great filters too. No complaints

Is it cheaper to buy online with preferred buyer status or through a dealer?

Probably cheaper to buy online through a dealer. I believe we have an Amsoil sponsor here. All you need to do is sign up to be a preferred member, which is about $10 for every 6 months or so. The prices are cheaper, however, the Signature stuff is still $7.50 a Qt with the discount.

^ this..I can see changing the filter every 3k and topping off the oil from the filter.

They use Wix filters which supposedly are very good.

I use old grease from McDonalds. My exhaust smells like french fries, only bad thing is a bunch of fat kids run after the car now instead of dogs!
