Hello fellow board members,

I was wondering what the difference between the regular procharger kit and the stage 2 version is.

Everything i have found only states that the intercooler is bigger, and it changes out the coolant tank.

Is this all it changes?

TIA:hi::hi:

Stage 2 is a must, the bigger I/C actually allows air to flow into it, the stage 1 I/C is hidden up under the bumper support where it doesnt get much air and can cause high IATs.

You can upgrade to a D1SC unit for $230 which personally I would also do.

The only problem i have is that the kit changes alot of stuff just for that intercooler. Stage 2 looks uglier under the hood than stage 1. Is there any way to upgrade the intercooler without losing the looks of the stage 1 kit?

What kind of HP goals are you looking for, you may not even need a stage 2.

Get the stage II, you'll be happier in the long run.

i'm confused on how the stage 1 "looks" better than the stage 2? The only diff is that on the stage one the inlet pipe is crammed on the drivers side, the sage 2 it comes up on the pass side.....

As far as function, the stage 2 could be six shades of pink and purple and i'd still run it for how much better it performs.

When I was researching Prochargers, everybody told me to get the StageII.
If you can't stand the way the StageII looks, then I suggest looking at other blowers.

Go with Stage II. The HO kit has smaller intercooler and the placment has it hidden behind the bumper. Couple people the started out with HO have upgraded to stage due to extreme high IAT 's. When my car was being dyno tuned it was 105* in the shop and highest IAT on any pull was 120*.

Knowing what we all know about the standard kit's intercooler, I think it's safe to say stage II is a must and priceless peace of mind knowing your IAT's are going to be safe.
