Baytown 1/4 - Friday 9/9

Me and a couple of friends will be hitting Baytown this Friday if anyone else wants to come. I have a grudge match between a bolt on GT500 and a bolt on Z06 that I really want to watch. After they settle it, I will try and get a piece of the action as well! Weather is starting to feel great, Who is down to go?

Bolt on Z and bolt on GT500 better be at LEAST deep in the 11s. Its more than the ET, its a competition between these two guys AND ford vs Chevy! I know for sure the GT500 has sticky tires

I think some people don't consider the fact that you don't just show up and set scorching ET. Takes seat time. So many variables. Track prep. Driverl. Weather da etc.

Tell those guys they should get the following license plates.

I dont see anything better than mid 12's. Gt500 has nitto dr's on 18's is hardly a sticky tire.

Interesting first couple of posts, welcome to the forum? So, where did you read that they were amateurs? Not saying they are Pro’s because quite frankly i have only met them once, but you should really not jump into conclusions without knowing the people.. Would your license plate be TurdMach? Lol. I think going out and calling a z06 and gt500 slow is, well kind of stupid in itself. Grace us with your knowledge, what is done to your mach and what does it run?

I would too, especially considering the $$ into those cars. Either way, to them its more about who wins between them. I have heard from a co-worker that they constantly talk about each other’s cars and the rivalry is growing fast!

I am not completely sure of their setup, so its kind of hard to guestimate their time. Our mutual coworker just mentioned that the GT500 just bought stickies to handle on the Z. Either way, I want to get a piece of both!

We ended up not even going :-/ . The grudge match got rescheduled because the GT500 was having mechanical issues, so everyone decided just to go on the rescheduled date. I should have just went anyway! oh well, cooler weather is approaching though.
