Did a search..........nothing.

Anybody use this stuff on Chrome Wheels?

wheel-protectant.png

I just bought some because the video was impressive and back in my hotrod days we would put graphite on our chrome wheels and NO DIRT or dust would stick to the wheels.

This stuff doesn't look like it's gonna win me over by how it goes on the wheel and it's visible on my chrome.

Yea I tried it on mine and wasn't impressed either. It helped but only a little. I didn't get anywhere near the results that they did in the video.

I tried it on my truck wheels and it sucked so I sprayed the rest on my fourwheeler tires and did burnouts. That's about all it's good for

Pretty good product but now all I use on my wheels is Rejex. It's insane compared to any of the other wheel sealants. The other thing I would say is any nano product out there like A.Quartz, Opti-Coat, etc.

Can anyone recommend a wheel cleaner(chrome) to remove some light brake dust spots that won't come off with normal scrubbing?
I'm trying to get my rears clean without possibly ruining my chrome. I see quite a few detailers products, but I'd like to find one that is mild enough for what I need.

Thanks.

I hear wheelwax is the way.

Did you ever get a chance to try out the "nano" stuff? It sounds so gimmicky to me but I'm interested.

Rejex is the shit. Makes the surface super slick, nothing sticks to it, brake dust rinses right off. Good for boats and airplanes too. And keeping lovebugs from sticking.

Link to Rejex? Also, is it safe on matte wheels?

Is there any reason Rejex would work better than BFWD in your opinion? I was going to pick some up in the past, but from what I can tell it's just a good sealant, so I just use BFWD instead of having to have 2 different products that seem to be very similar.

If it's better for wheels, would it not be better for paint?

Details man, I need Details, lol More info, yo

Yeah, I read all about it on their site before I even posted that. I'm asking Nasty since he's used both products first hand. I just wonder why most people consider BFWD to the the best sealant for a car but I hear all the time about how good Rejex is for wheels. If they are both sealants, then why is one better on a the car and the other better on the wheels.

For protection and a finish that stuff won't stick too, never seen better than Rejex.

As for overall shine, I have seen better. I've never used BFWD, but I bet it shines better on paint. But for wheels, I'll sacrifice a little shine to keep the brake dust down.

Don't get me wrong, it doesn't look bad, but it ain't no 7 coats of Zaino either. I would compare Rejex to a Meguiars Gold Class type of shine.
