What is it made out of and how much does it weigh?

I need to do the same damn thing. Just haven't gotten around to it yet

Maximum Motorsports manufactures our Roll Bars from the highest quality materials and hardware.

Made of 1-3/4" diameter by 0.134" wall DOM tube (much stronger than the more commonly used 0.120" wall ERW seamed tubing).
Contour-hugging 6" x 6" mounting pads with backup plates sandwich the unibody for safe and strong mounting.
All hardware is Grade 5 or higher.
Designed to fit with stock Mustang interior.
NO WELDING required inside a hardtop Mustang! (Some welding required for convertible models

Now, I am not sure why they claim "NO WELDING" required. The installation instructions specifically say to weld the rear braces to the main hoop:

"59. Have a certified/professional welder weld the
Rear Supports to the Main Hoop. NHRA rules
require that “welding must be done by approved MIG wire feed or approved TIG heliarc
process. Welding must be free of slag and
porosity. Any grinding of welds is prohibited.” "

The welding can be done outside the car as the hoop with the rear braces attached will slide into the car with all the seats removed.

No idea how much it weighs. I have sent an email back to them and asked. When I get the answer, I will post it.

Weight appears to be 85lbs.

"The roll bar ships via truck freight at 85 pounds, class 150. Thank you for your interest in Maximum Motorsports products. Have a great day."

The rear support bars must be welded for the coupes, they have a bolt that goes through a stub welded to the main hoop, but it's only for holding it in place for fitting it and making it easy to ship in a flat box. Definitely follow the instructions, don't wait to cut up your interior panels until after welding, makes it a royal pain to get the hole placed accurately (ask me how I know).

LoL Duster. Yes, I will be following the directions to the T.

Duster is correct as well, rear support braces are bolted to the hoop during fitment and installation. You then remove the hoop (with rear braces still bolted to the hoop) and get it MIG or TIG welded on.
