2014 Mustang Ideas/Thoughts/Wishes

Thought it would be fun to hear everybodys thoughts and ideas about what you would like to see happen to the 50th anniversary Mustang. I'll start by saying that it seems like a no brainer to me that the GT should be a 500hp 5.0 engine. I assume that number is feasible with direct injection and a 7500-8000rpm redline. Those specs would put the Mustang well above anything in its class. Weight needs to be close to 3,000lbs too. 30mphg highway.

My thought is the 14 will be just like the 13

Now the 15 that will probably come out in early 2014, that will be interesting

Keyless everything like the Camry. Once u walk up to it it unlocks itself and u just sit down and press the button. No more digging for keys in my pockets. :D

Hopefully they finally get the rear right. I don't think it can get much worse so it shouldn't be hard.

I wish that the 2014 model is so awesome that it drives prices way down on the 2011 model so that I can pick one up lightly used for cheap.

got a feeling itll be lighter but still use the same engine/drivetrain combo.

Lighter, better auto trans, more options less packages. If I want to get a base gt with leather, I should be able to. I should not have to get a premium package

im curious to the styling aspect. but IRS would be nice, and I agree 500hp 5.0

Most likely wont happen. What will happen is most likely a 440-450hp GT using DI, and a 480-500hp "specialty" Mustang based off of the same 5.0.

With the Cobra/GT500/Whatever they call the SVT vehicle in the 680'ish hp rating.

Most likely won't see a HP bump or a big one. But you will see a weight reduction.

It needs to decimate the camaro in the performance department too. And get at least 25% better fuel mileage...send that mulletmobile into the history books...run it out of production for good

watch what happens to Mustang pricing and performance without competition.

I wouldn't be surprised if the mustang targeted the corvette as a competitor this time around. It seems like if the chassis was overhauled with a direct injected version of the current drivetrain that might be possible, however I don't know if ford would want to take it in that direction either from a cost standpoint or a weight standpoint a la two seater.

What's kind of funny about that is the Fiesta has that same feature, but the Mustang doesn't.

Hood struts, interior trunk release button, windshield antenna.
