A retractable hardtop option that looks well open, looks well closed, and doesn't eat up all the available trunk space. After 17 years in a Miata I was ready for a hard roof over my head when I bought my 2012 GT; but come summer I'm going to miss the open-air driving experience (although the upgrade from 128HP to 412 will offer some compensation). A friend has the little Mercedes with the retractable hardtop and it is truly the best of both worlds.

More interior storage. I know the Mustang is supposed to be an elemental car, but dammit this is the 21st century and We Have Stuff.

And yeah ... fix that ass. Please.

More rear passenger leg room, front seats that automatically slide forward when tilted front all the way to allow easier rear seat access, telescoping steering wheel, low beam headlights that actually allow you to see well at night. Offer the option to get the Tremec transmission in your GT so down the road you wont have to replace the GUTRAG...chinese crap. That's the one thing about my BOSS that I can't stand...so far it shifts great and all but just knowing the trans came from China just pisses me off.

-At least 300lbs lighter
-Keep the current drivetrains and add the ecoboost v-6 to the lineup as an V8 alternative
-Have the launch control feature that is available on the 2013 GT500s made available on any trim equipped with a track pack or in the lieu of.
-Have seating as individual options (Recaro, Cloth, and Leather). I promise a Recaro option would do well and hopefully drive the price of them down.
-Toss the Getnagged and use TR-6060s. For god's sake the Camaro uses it in the SS.

Agreed. I was mad that I'd have to shell out the extra bones for a premium to get the leather seets/wheel. I don't want any of the other lightup gadgets and toys...at least not until im 50 I like the black cloth though...

The action of the seat when the lever is pulled to get in the back needs to be improved. I don't let people pull it themselves in fear they will break it...Dampen the action and make it a one step process. Its too violent if you don't know what your doing.

Also agree on a hard top vert that keeps the quarter windows. I wont buy the vert because im in love with the fast back look of the quarter windows, but would like the have a vert in the summer...

Some kind of system that alows the PCM to act more aggressively when lets say a sport mode is selected. Its great that my 2012 has sport mode, but that just cuts back on TCS and ST. While effective, a more aggressive throttle respone would be nice. Something along the lines of what out aftermarket tunes due when the throttle position and torque demanded is messed with. I think thats along the lines of whats going on...I want to tune my car just for this reason. Peek numbers are for bragging rights or regular track guys trying to squeeze every tenth out until they finally give up and buy a blower. j/k! The better street drivability for my 22 year old blood is what im after. Subaru STIs have this and its pretty cool. I think there are like three settings you can change on the fly, each having a different peak boost level too.

Wheels that don't look like an iron cross...

Opt out of warantee or just a one year option...never gunna happen...

Ultimately, I want a 2015 AWD Cobra-R if we are all still here...

I like the idea of different pcm modes...track or sport, comfort and max mpg at least. Definitely a paddle shifted trans option...having a clutch is fun but I would prefer some sort of DSG or automated manual at least as an option. 500hp and 8000rpm for under 40k should be the benchmark goal...some good engineers work for Ford based on what I've experienced with my BOSS. I think they could achieve that with direct injection and maybe relax the engine durability requirements a little and use the pcm to limit max rpm time to avoid too much valvetrain and bearing stress. A stripped down GT with all the performance options that could corner good, run a 12.0 flat on street tires, get 21mpg city/30mpg hwy for 35-40k would be Awesome.

The days of stripped down cars are gone. I would love to see it back, but they make the money's on options. What I would like to see, is dealers not loading every single car they order with every freaking option available

I'd like to see a stripper (not pole dancer ya perv...) model like the 95 GTS. I want it stripped down like a baseline Daewoo, or a FR500 car. Make the options individual, and the option packages less money than buying each option separate. That way they still make some dough. I know it won't happen, but since we're wishing...

will most likely never happen. Manufacturing costs of individual options vs. packages. Will be a lot more expensive to do it al a carte.

what about a stripped package?

if you can program the line with little variability and Ford can turn a profit, it would have a chance. I HIGHLY doubt Ford would consider a non power optioned package though.

Like how the 95 GTS was. It would most likely cost Ford MORE money to build hand cranker windows, door locks etc. Besides the weight difference from a 2011+ Base to a Premium is not much at all, talking manual coupes.
